The Fond du lac Artists Association, Inc., formed in 1968, is a nonprofit organization with the mission to encourage the creative growth of area artists of all ages, and promote community awareness of local talent in the field of the visual arts.
Art on the Island
Walk through Lakeside Park and Oven Island along the shores of Lake Winnebago, as you browse the works of artists from all over the Midwest.
Shop from a variety of fine arts and “original-in-design” crafts including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, garden art and more. Admire the works of the High School Scholarship recipients who are beneficiaries of our scholarship fundraising.
The Fond du Lac Artists Association sponsors at least two $1000 college scholarships each year for senior high school students who are pursuing a career in a visual art-related field. The scholarships are underwritten in part by the Harold Berkholtz Foundation which is managed by the Fond du Lac Area Foundation.
The students must be U.S. citizens and residents of Fond du Lac County, Lomira or Waupun. They may be attending any High School or be home-schooled. Application forms may be obtained from High School Guidance Counselors and Art Teachers who receive them by the end of November.
